All the fun of the Fiesta!

This year’s Bristol Balloon Fiesta turned out to be another amazing few days for Bristol After Stroke, as our hardworking volunteers, staff and trustees took turns to man our stand: a sparkling and VERY distinctive bright pink, branded gazebo!

As the sun shone down and the balloons rose up, hundreds of visitors came to talk to us and find out more about the risks and symptoms of stroke, how to stay healthy... and about the work we do. 

Lots of clients and their families also dropped in just to say "hello"!

There was plenty to attract visitors' attention – not least another giant teddy to win (plus a day out at Avon Wildlife Park) and the chance to take part in our special darts challenge… with those taking part discovering what it’s like to use one’s non-dominant hand.

We were once again really grateful to have a discounted space, courtesy of the organisers, and hope to be back again to spread the word next year!
