Visitors to the RWA’s Annual Open Exhibition have been treated to a display of the remarkable “Concertina Recovery from Stroke” art book created by the budding artists in our Croft End Group.
The remarkable piece of work has been created in sessions with artist Jill Carter over recent weeks. And while the original plan was for the book to be displayed for one day only, the Director of the RWA loved it so much they asked for it to be displayed up until it joins us at the Wellbeing Day on 17th October.
At the end of September, the group paid a visit to the exhibition, which proved a very moving occasion.
After a speech from the Head of Learning and Engagement, Helen Jacobs, and artist Jill Carter, we were invited to view the Annual Open Exhibition which was brilliant and much enjoyed.
Says Group Leader Stella Fisher: “I am so proud of the work, and the courage and honesty with which group members, volunteers and carers put into making their pieces. If you get a chance, do the RWA to see it, or you can wait until the Wellbeing Day!”
