Changes in the way we communicate are common following a stroke. But how do these changes impact our relationships with friends, family, romantic partners and work colleagues?

Our upcoming online HIT session will provide some really helpful background… and guidelines going forward.

It all takes place on Thursday 30th April 2026 between 12.30 and 1.30pm, and will be led by Headway East London – who co-produce and deliver a range of services for people living with acquired brain injury and their families.

This session will focus on the impact of cognitive communication changes on conversations, relationships and wellbeing and cover:
•    What is cognitive communication?
•    How do communication changes impact relationships with friends, family, romantic partners and work colleagues.

There will also be an opportunity to discuss strategies to support successful and enjoyable conversations.

You can book your free online space at the event here: Communication changes event
