Only a week to go until our Treasurer David leaves the UK to take part in the Marathon Des Sable. David already holds the record for the oldest Brit to finish the race and he's hoping to break that record again this year.
David has signed up for the tortuous Marathon des Sables for a second time… 250 kilometres over never-ending sand dunes in the foothills of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains in temperatures that can soar to a staggering 50 degrees. He previously completed it in April 2017 as a young 75-year-old but since then has had to endure open heart surgery to replace two damaged arteries, but he is now declared fully fit again.
