Save the date! Friday 27th September 2019 for our annual Wellbeing Day - our conference for people affected by stroke, fellow professionals and partner organisations working in the field of stroke rehabilitation and community support, Friends of Bristol After Stroke and supporters.

We are planning a varied programme of speakers and activities, including:

  • Lucinda Jarrett from Rossetta Life talks about a new dance performance project in Bristol
  • Former service user and Bristol After Stroke fundraiser/ambassador, Eddie Ruskin talks about driving after stroke and what you need to know
  • From ESA to PIP to Universal Credit - Richard Stacey, Welfare Rights Advisor from St Pauls Advisory Service talking about the benefits you might be entitled to
  • Stroke City Football Club – Jerry Byford talks about his experience of having a stroke and how he came to set up a local football team in Devon
  • Dr Jo White, from the Department of Health and Social Sciences at the University of the West of England discussing recent research into the experiences of Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic people have of stroke care services
  • Richard Lyle,  Associate Director of Service Redesign at Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire CCG discussing developments to the statutory Stroke Care Pathway
